Prabha Rau Governer of Rajastan expired of Heart Attack
Praba Rau Rajasthan Governor passed away in AIIMS – Etv Rajasthan live and Rajasthan patrika news.Prabha rao passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) today after suffering a heart attack earlier in the morning.PrabhaRao, 75, was found unconscious in the bathroom of her suite at the Jodhpur House in Rajastan and was rushed to the hospital, where Prabha Rau died some time later, official sources said.Mrs Smt Prabha Rao was Governer of rajasthan and renowed congress leader passed away due cardiac arrest.Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot visited the hospital after hearing of the news.
Rau, born on March 5, 1935 at Khandwa in a family of freedom fighters and social reformers of Maharashtra, was a former athlete who had represented the state in a number of sports like long jump, high jump and discus throw.
A known Nehru-Gandhi family loyalist, Rau took charge as Himachal Pradesh governor in July 2008 and later as governor of Rajasthan in January this year following the death of her predecessor S K Singh.
Rau is survived by two daughters. Her husband, S Anand Rau, had predeceased her.
